Note from Artist: "Adaption was created with 2 other paintings with black backgrounds and bright colours. It was created from a photograph I took at the Butterfly House at the Melbourne Zoo. Butterflies adapt to their environment to survive in the world. Their beautiful wings are not just for flying, but are also used for mimicry. Since butterflies can't fly in very cold weather, they use strategies like hibernation, and migration to warm up and get out of the cold. Many of us can relate to adapting for different environments whether it is how you feel you should behave or how you are told to behave."
